Ian Hunt has been appointed to lead Trend’s Oil & Gas solutions business as the company launches into the Saudi Arabian market, supporting growth across its four key focus areas: Fire & Safety, Engineering, Capability Development, and Innovation.

With more than 30 years of international experience in the energy sector, Ian has held senior operational, commercial, and strategic leadership roles across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. His career includes executive positions with globally recognised organisations including Halliburton, Baker Hughes, 3t, and Tachyus — a Silicon Valley technology company specialising in advanced SaaS solutions for the energy industry.

Throughout his career, Ian has led large-scale regional business operations, developed high-performing international teams, and supported the delivery of complex operational and technology solutions across multiple sectors of the energy industry.

Ian joined Trend to strategically support the company’s long-term business development and market growth within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Having spent more than 20 years living and working in the Middle East, he brings deep regional knowledge, strong industry relationships, and extensive experience supporting commercial, industrial, and energy sector clients.

Ian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Southampton University in the United Kingdom, with specialisation in Nuclear Physics.

Susan is an established member of the Trend team, supporting the day-to-day administration and coordination of the business. She works with management, colleagues, customers and suppliers to help ensure that communications are clear, information is shared effectively, and routine business activities are managed efficiently.

Her international business and administrative experience provides a useful foundation for her role, which involves a practical and organised approach to the varied requirements of the business.

Through her ongoing support and involvement, Susan contributes to the effective running of Trend and helps the team maintain good working relationships with customers and business partners.
